Glenn Goldman, owner/founder of Book Soup, passed away on the afternoon of January the 3rd, 2009, after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Glenn's impact on the literary community in Los Angeles is impossible to measure, and he will be sorely missed by many, many people.
At this tragic hour we remember Glenn's sense of humor, his generosity, and the sacrifices he made to bring books, his passion, to the people. Glenn was a man who lived life to it's fullest and accomplished more in his 58 years than most people would in 3 lifetimes.
The world is a little less bright for this loss.
Glenn is survived by his sons, Joe and Sam.
If you have a memory of Glenn that you'd like to share with his sons and the store please come by and write in our Memorial Book.
Everyone who knew Glenn or who appreciate the wonderful store he built is welcome to join us in remebering and celebrating Glenn's life this Friday, the 16th of January, in the store at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers friends and colleagues may contribute to the "Glenn Goldman Booksellers Scholarship Fund" by donating below or emailing: GGBScholarshipFund@booksoup.com
