No Cure for Madness: A Poetry Reading by 3 Queer Men of Color on Death, God and Desire

Our title comes from the genderqueer prophet Teiresias who said in The Bacchae, "There is no cure for madness when the cure itself is mad." How do queer writers respond in an America whose LGBT politics and social norms are aligned more and more with mainstream and is yet in the context of one of the most hostile and homophobic presidencies in decades. We present a poetry reading by three queer men of color (Miguel Murphy, Blas Falconer, and Kazim Ali) whose work transgresses mainstream and heteronormative norms of both body and spirit.
