I didn’t want to spend the pandemic with just my husband (much as I love him). And I didn’t want to give in to fear or sit around lamenting the loss of control over normal life. So I began writing and I couldn’t stop. When Katie Couric accepted my first essay on tips for getting through the Corona crisis for her online newsletter, RAMONA on CORONA was born. I had free rein to draw from my musings: how to wash a zucchini in a pandemic, remain married to a hoarder husband (paper goods, Aisle 7 in our basement) and more. RAMONA grew into a weekly humor column and now she is a book of 46 essays that I hope will make you smile, maybe even laugh out loud and touch your heart. I hope this memento of what we all went through will provide lessons learned as we move forward together.
