I don't think I can really tell you about this book. I'd almost rather it be my secret. But it is so fucking beautiful.
I have read a lot of celebrity memoirs but only one gleefully recounts the act of relieving oneself mid-concert performance - this one! Sir Elton goes for it, and you will enjoy this often funny, frequently painful and always joyous journey.
This novel comes out in June (If there is a June!) and it has the power to help you bury some demons.
Perhaps no other book perfectly captures this moment for me. The British had it bad in WWII but they persevered led by Churchill, a splendid person and the kind of leader we could really use right now.
Set aside whatever you think you already know about Michelle Obama. The real joy of reading this book is discovering that an ordinary person trained for this exceptional opportunity her whole life without realizing it, and NAILED IT! She's a brilliant writer too, so you'll be in her thrall on ever page.
Take Jenny's hand and let her lead you away from this world for awhile. Don't worry, you'll be okay.
Even the design of this book is more than I can handle and then you start reading the poems! (Insert head exploding emoji here).
Black Mirror if it was a book.
Can one book capture all of our collective progressive anger? Yes, it can. This one.
