Grace Bonney, founder of Design*Sponge, has been supporting and spotlighting women running their own creative businesses through her national meet-up series, regular business column, and weekly podcast. Over the course of a few years, she realized business leaders of color, from the LGBT community, and people with disabilities were rarely being celebrated or included in discussions at female-focused business events, conferences, and books. In her new book, IN THE COMPANY OF WOMEN: Inspiration and Advice from 100 Makers, Artists, and Entrepreneurs , Grace introduces an exceptional group of female business owners across a diverse range of races, ages, backgrounds, and industries—all with unique experiences to reflect our country’s rich (and growing) diversity.
Grace has gathered some wonderful, inspirational, accomplished and fierce panelists to join her in conversation for this event.
